About
Ashoka's Youth Venture is a global movement that inspires, invests, and supports young people to lead social change. They invest in young people, from the age of 15 to 24, to design and lead their own initiatives that create social impact. In creating and launching their “Ventures,” as they form teams and work together, young people learn the important skills of leadership, teamwork, entrepreneurship and empathy. They also realize that they are powerful and will continue to take initiative and lead again and again throughout their lives.

Program description:
The one-year Youth Venture Fellowship includes three workshops over 3 months. 1. Workshop:  Idea Refinement 2. workshop:, World Café, enables peer-to-peer learning 3. workshop buiness planning and budgeting. Following this preparation each team presents their project to a panel of professionals. Based on the panelists feedback the Venturers launch with Seed funding. Along with the workshops and site visits, each team joins the Community of Changemakers, where teams often gain inspiration and learning from each other.  Youth Venture also provides networking, guidance and seed funding. Youth Venture also provides a professional mentorship program. Towards the end of the fellowship year, Youth Venture connects teams who are interested in continuing their project in touch with other organizations.

Participants:
Young people range from the age of 15 to 24, comes from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds.

ECDI’s focus is to ensure that the poor are not left behind or excluded from mainstream markets. The organization is cognizant of the fact that MSEs need facilitation and skills to successfully operate within local, regional and international market systems and require training as well as access to quality input supplies, technology, finance, and market information.

Program description:
ECDI provides career counseling services for young entrepreneurs. Their current project “Pathways and Pursestrings: Market Access for Women Producers in Pakistan (MAWPP)” is a market-led initiative to promote women’s economic empowerment and facilitate their effective integration into profitable, mainstream markets.  Some of the trainings that ECDI provide are HR, value chain development and market research.

Participants:
ECDI provides specialist training for individuals seeking entrepreneurial careers and institutions working within the Women and Development (WAD), MED and Micro Finance (MF) sectors in Pakistan.

Applications
The requirements are project based and a letter of request for at least 5 participants is essential for any training program to be delivered.

About
YES have pioneered the concept of youth service and youth social entrepreneurship in Pakistan. They provide seed financing and incubation services to under-privileged youth to establish community based micro social enterprises. Their youth service program is aimed at assisting poor and disadvantaged youth to become self-reliant and contributing members of the society. YES has received several international awards and appreciation from world renowned leaders and think tanks.

Program description:
The training model for youth is designed to assist students in acquiring basic knowledge and skills of designing and implementing community-based social enterprises. This training model also aims at preparing youth for the youth social enterprise challenge. YES provides trainings in a wide variety of areas such as youth social entrepreneurship and leadership development. YES provides seed funding, connections and linkages with other organizations.

Participants:
YES works with both in-school and out-of-school youth, but special focus to young people who are living in rural areas and socially excluded. 90% of the beneficiaries are young females. The average age of participants is between 15 and 30. As per YES’s requirements young people willing to participate in the program must be willing to dedicate at-least 30 hours per week individually or as a team.
